Excel would be a great format for me to work with. However, I am not sure about Cousins in Google. Since it will be members contact information, I have to ask, what is their policy on the use of our information. Would it be better to have a place here on our site? Like creating content, members would be in charge of entering the information and how they are related? One volunteer could be in charge of problems with that particular content. Or members submit the information to someone in the group and that person could enter the data. Joseph, if this is too much to ask, I will understand.

It looks as if everyone probably knows much more than me technically how to do this. My only concern is that listing emails as a reference for contact might not be a good idea. Since it will only be members linked, just their name probably would be fine. Then if another member want to contact them, they could do so through this site.

Keeping a database of everyone's genealogies and linking them up would be a lot of work, unless related members would submit GEDCOMS to us and then the GEDCOM was linked accordingly. The only problem with that, is I think many members have not submitted GEDCOMS. The link is already there, though and we could just submit the collection to GEDCOMS and call it Master GEDCOM for "whatever family line" or something along that line. I think it would be a monster of a GEDCOM though in some cases. Anyone who does not have genealogy software, would have to submit their lines in a Word or Excel doc and they would have to be copied and pasted into the master database by hand. Maybe even better, we could put a form out here under the files tab, so the person updating the genealogy software would not have to deal with numerous different genealogy styles.

Then in addition to the Master GEDCOM, keep a simple list on WORD, saying so and so is related to so and so, they are 2nd cousins with a common ancestor of " ", please see Master GEDCOM for "whatever family line"

What does everyone think? Would something like this work?
