Hi everyone,

Does anyone have any information regarding the Hernandez family from Saucito [Jalisco] near San Miguel el Alto and Santa Maria del Valle? I have used the search, and found results from Steven Hernandez, but I'm not sure how active he is these days.

It seems that I am stuck trying to find records for my GGG-Grandfather. He was Leonardo Hernandes(z) married to Dionicia Rodrigues(z). My GG-Grandfather, Mateo (Leonardo's son) was born around 1831. So I can guess Leonardo was born in the late 1700's to early 1800's. During this time, was Leonardo more of a middle name? I've come across many Jose Leonardo records. The records he is listed in, list him as Leon/Leonardo, not Jose Leonardo, however.

If any one has information about this family, I would greatly appreciate any insight you can share.

Could the “Leon/Leonardo Hernandez” be the same person known as “José María Hernández” married on 8/Sep/1818 in Tepatitlan to Maria Deonicia Rodriguez? I am attaching some records that may be of some help to you.
