Is anyone out there researching the Información matrimonial films for Zacatecas, ZAC?

If so and if you just happen to come across any references to any Puente, Puentes, or Del La Puente can you let me know. The missing 160 years of Baptism films for this area has created a serious brick wall for me and any help would be appreciated.

thanks,

Joseph Puentes

My two Puente lines

I have two Puente lines all around the San Luis Potosí, Venado, Charcas and Pinos area--it seems they moved around quite a bit. I've often wondered the likelihood this family would have been somehow involved in mining, as it was very common in the area, for the time period. These are my lines:

1. Nicolás de la Puente m. Tomasina Pérez de Contreras y Lomelín (my 11th ggrandparents) they had the following children:

a. Nicolás Cayetano de la Puente ch. 30 Jun 1687 in Venado married Teresa Limón y López de Quezada Mendoza on 21 Sep 1716 in Jalostotitlán.

b. Agustín de la Puente ch. 29 Sep 1690 in Sierra de Pinos

2. Diego de la Puente m. Catalina López Rodríguez, as already mentioned. They had several children all in Venado, unless otherwise denoted:

a. Olaya de la Puente ch. 18 Mar 1678 m. Antonio de Medina y Laris on 20 Jun 1697 in Venado. (My 9th great grandparents)
b. Isabel de la Puente ch. 23 Jan 1683
c. Diego de la Puente ch. 18 Nov 1685
d. Antonia de la Puente ch. 2 Jul 1687 - Sierra de Pinos
e. Josefa de la Puente ch. 15 Jun 1689 - Charcas
f. Nicolás de la Puente & Juana de la Puente ch. 21 Sep 1693 (twins)
g. Pedro de la Puente ch. 28 Sep 1696
h. María Teresa de la Puente ch. 14 Jan 1699

I believe Nicolás and Diego (1 & 2) are siblings, but need additional documentation. The oldest de la Puente in the area (whom I believe is their father) is Diego Tomás de la Puente and Inés de Mata y Carrión, old residents of Sierra de Pinos. I have a few dispensas, marriages that help build this family's generation, they seem to marry in an out of Pinos and SLP.

Best Regards,

Daniel Méndez de Torres y Camino

Puente, Poente, de la Fuente and de la Puente

I have continued to create records for any puente I find in the images as I am still searching for the marriage record of my ancester gertrudes de la Puente. I have found that the starting point for many de la Puentes is Venado, San Luis Potosi and there are others scattered throughout San Luis Potosi, like Charcas, Matehuala and San Luis Potosi, San Luis Potosi. I will let you know if I find anything on your ancestors.

Puentes

I have one line of Puentes that I traced from Jalisco back to San Luis Potosi (Venado and Charcas) to about the mid 1600's. The oldest couple I've found are Diego de la Puente and Catalina Lopez. The first child of this couple I found is Ysabel de la Puente, baptized 23 Jan 1683 in San Sebastian Venado, San Luis Potosi.

Informaciones Matrimoniales

Joseph,
I'm on the same boat with the Gomez y Pena. I reviewed the PADRON DE ZACATECAS for 1671 and there isn't a single Puente. Nevertheless I will keep you in mind because I'm reviewing the films for informacion matrimoniales. If you come across any Gomez y Pena please let me know

thanks
