  • Where is El Sagrario formerly known as Santo Domingo located in Zacatecas, Mexico
By Anna Miklovic | Mon, 2012-05-07 00:01

Does anyone know what town El Sagrario is located in Zacatecas City, Zacatecas, Mexico? I am trying to pin down the town so that I can search my relatives that were baptized there. And does any one know where I can get a detailed map of Zacatecas showing the little towns, in particular, around Zacatecas City? Thank you in advance for your help. Anna

Detailed Map of Zacatecas & other States of Mexico

Hi,

Here's a link to a webpage, where you'll probably find(pin-point) most little towns (ranchitos y pequenas localidades) of Zacatecas & other States of Mexico. This is where I've been pin-pointing most of the little "Ranchitos" where some of my ancestors were borned. Hope it helps.

Detailed Map of Zacatecas & other States of Mexico

I am heading off to my hometown, Jamay, in June for a 50th wedding
anniversary celebration. I will also be spending a few days doing research
in Portezuelo, Jalisco which is where I hope to find some very important
family members that I am not able to find in FamilySearch. Could someone
guide me as to who to contact once I'm there? Is there a particular parish
I should go to? Municio? I was told to borrow a family car versus car
rental. Any suggestions? Thank you for any help you may give me.

Where is El Sagrario

According to this webpage, it has the following address:

http://www.oficinaparroquial.com/directorio/parroquias_zacatecas.html

12. EL SAGRARIO
Parroquia de Santo Domingo
Genaro Codina No. 722 (near or across the corner between this street and De Vayna St.)
98000 Zacatecas, Zac.

This parrish is just one block away from the Cathedral.
As for the map, you may try Google maps.
Best regards,
