Re: Not sure if this is an important will

Hi Alex,

Where did you pull that from, and what is the date range? Looks like early 1600s. Viuda de Diego de Aguiar, had an hijo natural before she married named Francisco; I see a legitimate child named Micaela de Sotomayor. I'm going to say this is Guadalajara?

Thanks!

Exactly I found it in the protocolos of Juan Sedano. Did it end up being any use?

Re: Not sure if this is an important will

Hi Alex,

Not really, but it's interesting. I had this Maria de Sotomayor as Maria de Torquemada; she and Diego de Aguiar baptized Micaela 16 Oct 1615 in Guadalajara. The 1627 testamento mentions a daughter named Micaela, age 12, so I'm sure it's the same couple. I was researching women with the Torquemada surname, thinking they might somehow be related to Cristobal Ordones cc Francisca Ruiz Farache, since at least 1 of their daughter's used that surname.

I wonder if this Diego de Aguiar is related to Martin de Aguiar Delgadillo cc Mariana de Ulloa y Plasencia?

Thanks!
