Hello,
Does anyone know about this book. "Sagrada Mitra de Guadalajara Antiquo Obispado De La Nueva Galica. I understand that it has many of the original Spanish family names. I was just wondering if this would also be a good research resource.
Thanks
Tina

The book is a great resource. It was being sold directly by Luz Montejano Hilton for about $100 plus shipping from Mexico City.

The same records that can be found in the book can now be found online in the Matrimonios volumes at https://familysearch.org/search/image/index#uri=https%3A%2F%2Ffamilysea… and are being indexed at http://www.guadalajaradispensas.com/

This is a very useful resource, unfortunately it is out of print. However, it is available in some libraries.

A according to Worldcat it is available at the Arizona State Library, Phoenix, as well as the University of Arizona Library, Tucson.

Worldcat, www.worldcat.org, is a very convenient way to locate hard to find books. Many libraries, but not all, are part of this system. If you enter your Zipcode, Worldcat gives you a list of libraries beginning with the one closest to you.
