Hello,

In translating a marriage record I found the status reads "Viudo"-widowed for the groom but her status reads " estado Donea"??? for the bride... Does anyone know what this may indicate?

Al traducir un acta de matrimonio me pareció que el estado es "Viudo", viudo para el novio, pero el estado es "estado Donea"?? para la novia ... ¿Alguien sabe lo que esto puede indicar?

Hello Mazo,

I reviewed the image in question ... The top left is the declaration of the
bride and it states that she is a resident (vecina) not widow (viuda).
"estado Donca" is an abbrevation for Doncella which is saying she was never
married.

La palabra es doncella, que quiere decir que es una joven soltera.

it is an abreviation for doncella (never married)
