  • Breakthrough on my Pineda/Pinedo research
Por PINEDA37 | Dom, 01/04/2012 - 22:30

For years, I couldn't find much information about my Pineda/o line. My grandfather's father died when he was young and he did not know much about his father (Nicanor Pinedo) except that he was from Tlaltenango, Zac. For years, I've been stuck -- until today!

Here's what I found today -- and if anyone else has these individuals in their family tree, please let me know! The records I'm finding are from Monte Escobedo and Mesquital del Oro, Zac.

Generation No. 1
Bartolo Pinedo m. Maria Gonzales
Place/date: unknown
Son: Gregorio Pinedo

Generation No. 2
Gregorio Pinedo m. Agustina de Ulloa, daughter of Crisanto Ulloa and Juana Sanchez (or Contreras)
Place/date: Monte Escobedo, Zac, 28 April 1834
Son: Pedro Pinedo

Generation No. 3
Pedro Pinedo m. (1) Pioquinta Cardoza, daughter of Santiago Cardoza and Venita Elias. She died in Mesquita del Oro, Zac (March 1886)
Marriage place/date: unknown
Son: Nicanor Pinedo (my great-grandfather)

Pedro Pinedo m. (2) Rita Ruvalcaba, daughter of Marco Ruvalcaba and ______ Orozco.
Marriage place/date: Mesquita del Oro, Zac, 17 Sep 1886
Note: the informacion matrimonial states that Pedro Pinedo's first wife was Pioquinta Cardoza, and that she died in March 1886. This record also states that Pedro Pinedo was originally from Zacatecas, I believe.

Generation No. 4
Nicanor Pinedo m. (1) Antonia Minjares, daughter of Felipe Minjares and Natividad Godoy.
Marriage place/date: Tlaltenango, Zac, 21 Feb 1903
They had no children, so far as I know.

Nicanor Pinedo m. (2) Emilia Gonzalez, daughter of Juan Gonzalez and Dolores Arteaga
Marriage place/date: Tlaltenango, Zac, 4 June 1914
Children: Jesus Maria Pineda (my grandfather) and Emilia Pineda

I hope this may be enough information to make some further connections with others on this listserve!

Breakthrough on my Pineda/Pinedo research

Hi Chris, Does all your family live in the valley? We decend from Felicidad Villarreal. She married Pedro Esparza. They settled the San Pedro Carricitos land grant about 1824. Felicidad had a brother Placido that married into the Trevino family ( Petra T.) Any connections here?

One of our members married Fernando Perez. THis line of Perez was in the bakery business.
Also have in our tree Chapa, Cavazos, Solis, Garcia, Pineda, Trevino and so many more.

I am sure we connect. Please send us your family data from way back so we can try to make these connections. Most of us use Family Tree Maker....and we will give you plenty of notice when the genealogy group meets again..... Phyls
